At the time, I was feeling inspired by the general aesthetics of Tekken 2 (1995). Initally, I was drawn towards having Kae overlooking a rocket launch pad akin to Lee Chaolan's stage in the game. I instead exchanged it for an office environment taking place at the headquarters of the Lepidoris Technologies Corporation.

I wanted this drawing to serve as a piece of key artwork for Mechanised Esoterica, summing up the vibes and aesthetics found within the book. At the same time, the purple sky for instance, is a homage to the Tekken 2 box artwork. In addition, the silver-plated office is reminiscent of the character select screen.
