Ruunar is Kaejaris's best friend of many years. Having bonded during their time at school together, the two of them became almost as brother, with Kae's stepfather regarding Ruunar as something of a second son.

A mechanic by profession, Ruunar specialises in the maintenance and construction of motorcycles. He is also a collector. Most of the vintage bikes in his collection have been personally customised, allowing him to use them just as efficiently as those currently on the market.

Very little is known about Ruunar's personal life, only that he lives alone somewhere on the outskirts of Alachra, his hometown. It was through Kaejaris's generosity that he enabled his friend to purchase a home sizable enough to accommodate his expensive hobby.

Ruunar also has a sister named Peruna.

Somewhat headstrong, Ruunar always stands up for what he believes is right. He is unquestionably loyal to anyone he considers a friend. This bold attitude earned him many enemies at school, none more notable than that of Malachite and Concord, the former of which was Kae's very own cousin. He would often get himself into fights with Concord in defense of Kaejaris who was targeted by the two bullies.
