Concord Manzell is an individual of whom very little is known, outside of his 'work' at the Lepidoris Technologies Corporation. He acts as Personal Protection Officer to Malachite Lepidoris, a position which has attracted regular criticism from the retiring Chief Executive Officer who, among other things, believes that Concord is a bad influence on his son. Unfortunately for Jevin, Malachite and Concord have been close friends for many years...

When Concord met Malachite for the first time, they were only teenagers, and he was already a well established disturber of the peace. Unpleasant by nature, petty crime was Concord's game and to this end, he was remarkably talented. He also possessed a personal vendetta against those sensitive to the arcane arts and was attracted by Malachite's searing hatred for such individuals. He found it infectious. Likewise, Malachite was enamoured by Concord's support and the two quickly became friends. At school, they would bully Malachite's cousin Kaejaris all too often for his mother's arcane sensitivity.

Kaos Theory was Concord's brainchild. He envisioned it as a nightclub for miscreants and delinquents of all sorts. Once he and Malachite left school, they made their dream a reality in Gratus, the capital city. Ever one for physicalities, Concord appointed himself as one of the club's bouncers.

It was much to Concord's disappointment that Malachite eventually relinquished his duties at the nightclub for a position at the Lepidoris Technologies Corporation. There were many arguments but ultimately, Concord chose to join his friend at the corporation. In spite of his lust for misdemeanours, Concord realised that he had developed quite a rapport with Malachite and wished for it to continue.

Now, Concord longs for his earlier days. A time when life was always full of surprises. Little does he know that he will be the catalyst for the excitement that he so desperately craves.
